Preparing for the COVID-19 Summer Surge

Posted by Sofia Diaz on

As we reach our third summer with COVID-19, we’re again starting to see a rise in cases. Former White House Coronavirus Response Task Force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx reported that we should be preparing for a possible summer surge of Covid-19 cases, specifically across Southern states.

Health experts say that many people are experiencing pandemic fatigue – traveling and attending social events without adhering to preventative measures. With mask mandates being lifted in many states and the CDC no longer requiring air passengers to show a negative COVID-19 test, we need to be ready for a potential spike in cases.

With at-home tests becoming more accessible, many COVID-19 testing sites have begun closing their doors – and health experts say that the surge is likely due to an increase in underreported home tests.

This summer we need to be doing our part to prevent outbreaks across worksites and minimize the impact on the health, safety, and productivity of our organizations.

No-contact temperature scanners are a fast and efficient way to detect possible infection and minimize the spread between employees. These temp scanners make it easy to check all your employees' body temperatures on arrival – to help you keep your workplace safe and COVID free.
